Working again...

I hope no one that is legit got their sites turned off just because the server couldnt take the traffic. Is that the best solution??

Hi abstrait,

MySQL should be working fine now. If you still face any issues, let me know. I can't really comment on the legitimacy of the websites, but we do work with our clients privately, if requested, to see how best we can overcome the issues their websites face. Most of the time its poorly written scripts that get exploited and cause these troubles.

The server is capable of handling large traffic, infact we have servers with same specs in the same DC that handle many more accounts without any issues. So its definitely not the server specs or "overloaded" resources. Its only when we see unnatural rise in traffic that we block IPs opening multiple connections to the server. Also this block is temporary i.e. removed after few hours.

I trust that the RESELLER for accounts that are blocked, even temporarily, are contacted to let them know so that they can do further investigation.

Anyone else having problems with a sluggish NU this morn? I'm getting waits to authorize email and slow forum etc.

Default Nu crashed/ offline/ toast

Tried to view my websites at "4020.net" and "nemeng.com" but got a "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at xxx" message.

Another day, another Nu problem?...

I submitted a ticket at 9:30 am about the blacklisting. No response as of yet. And I am still getting my email bounced back.
